Письмо CXXXI: Marcus Aurelius Marcus Cornelius Fronto

I now learn what I wished first and foremost to hear. I gather from your letter that the feverishness has gone. Now, my master, as for the sore throat, it will be got rid of by a little abstinence, and we shall soon have better news from you. Farewell, my most delightful of masters. My mother1 greets you.

? 154–156 A.D.

Fronto to Antoninus Pius Augustus.

1 Lucilla, the mother of Marcus, died about 156. This is the last mention of her.
